Tree's Lounge *
0.3 Mile from Condo
440 Aleka Pl #1, Kapaa, HI 96746
Tree’s Lounge is behind the Coconut Marketplace about a half mile north on Kuhio highway. They have great live music every night except Sunday. They also have surprisingly good food. This is a fun spot that is popular with local residents. It is our favorite place to go for an evening cocktail and to enjoy some great music. Tree's has a happy hour special on martinis each evening from 5 pm - 7 pm.
For such a small island Kauai has amazingly talented musicians. During happy hour, Trees has one or two person live music that is typically more mellow. On Thursdays the early act plays Hawaiian music and has a Hula dancer.
Full piece bands take the stage starting between 8:30 - 10:00 pm and go until around midnight. Tree's books bands that play many different genres of music including Blues, Rock, Reggae, Jazz, Country, Hawaiian and Funk. Wednesday nights feature a DJ for a dance party and the place is packed and buzzing. Tree's seldom charges a cover fee to enter. Most acts have tip jars in front, so please tip the musicians when you are impressed. Keep in mind that Tree's is a music hot-spot for local residents so most of the crowd is local.

Tree's Lounge Entrance
To get to Tree's Lounge, you can walk a few blocks North on Papaloa Road which will take about 15 minutes. It is behind the Coconut Marketplace next to the Kauai Shores Resort. If you are driving to Tree’s Lounge, just stay on Papaloa Road until you reach the Coconut Marketplace. Turn right into the parking lot (if not blocked). Turn right and drive to the back. Turn left and park on the Coconut Marketplace parking lot.
You aren't supposed to park here unless you go to Coconut Marketplace but we haven't had any issues. Tree's Lounge is behind the parking lot. Walk through the opening in the fence. They often close the exit to Papaloa street at night so you may have to drive around the Coconut Marketplace and take a left on Kuhio highway to get home. It is easiest to just walk.
